In what seems to be a trend with most new titles nowadays, Enslaved will have several retailer specific DLC bonuses, adding some drama as to where you place your pre-order. Gamestop and EB Games Canada will get a Ninja Monkey suit that will afford your character with unlimited forms of what would normally be rare ammunition. Walmart and Walmart Canada will get a Classic Monkey package that looks back at the ancient roots to the story told in the game. This Classic costume will give the player a double melee damage bonus to all hand to hand attacks. Finally, we have Best Buy and Best Buy Canada, which get a Sexy Robot Trip costume. With the costume, you get a sexed up version of the female character in the game, as well as the power to double all stun damage attacks, including all of Monkey’s stun attacks as well as her own.

To see screens of all the different costumes as well as some trailers, hit the jump. Enslaved: Odyssey to the West is set to come out in early October 2010 on PS3 and Xbox 360 from Ninja Theory and Namco Bandai.

When Southpeak announced Battle vs. Chess, I thought back to my childhood when I was introduced to a little game called Archon. It was a chess variant, but when you occupied a square, you would do battle with the opposing player with the winner keeping the spot. Battle vs. Chess follows in this mold, but with vastly better graphics and an updated chess engine. The game is also set to come out as a value priced title for the consoles and the PC, shaving $20 off the normal game price.

Battle vs. Chess is set to ship soon on PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 from Southpeak Games. Check the jump for the full video of the hot chess action.

I think the minigame genre has finally grown up.

Guilty Party is a multiplayer Remote-based minigame fest with staged photos of a happy family on the back cover. And, yes, the word ‘Party’ is in the title. But there’s so much going on here that you might actually forget about the minigames.

Maybe it’s because I’m only a little into the game, but I’m surprised at how dense this game is. Upon first bootup, Guilty Party foists you into a tutorial mystery. This ten-minute opener both introduces the core game concepts and sets up the storyline-based campaign mode. Right out of the gate, you get lengthy cutscenes, a pile of characters to meet, and a good overview of the game’s structure.

It’s like a board game without an onscreen board. I guess the wacky mansion cutaway map is the board. On your turn, you have a set number of actions you can perform… like moving to a different room, interrogating a suspect or examining an object. As you explore, you collect clues which you must then use to divine the identity of the criminal. In the tutorial’s case, the criminal is an unknown person who ate the grandfather’s pudding, but hey, they can’t all be Ripped From Today’s Headlines.

There’s a cute lie detector bit where your Remote buzzes if a person is fibbing to you. It just means you have to mentally track that the correct clue is the opposite of what that person said.

When I started the next level, the game added a deck of cards to the mix. Plus, the game’s primary villain has the ability to eff with your game… by locking rooms or turning out the lights. You have X number of turns to solve the mystery or the world ends or something.

Between all of this is a bunch of dopey Remote minigames like brushing away dust or turning a combination lock. It looks like you can adjust the difficulty of the game according to player, which should be great for families.

I’ve only done cooperative mysteries thus far, but I’m looking forward to bringing this out for a game night. It’s nice to have accessible motion-based minigames framed inside an actual damn game for once.

While the new pictures are pretty awesome and show off a battle sequence between you and the Claptrap army, the shots that steal the show are the two revolution posters that Gearbox have created for the DLC.

First off we have the spin-off of the Che Revolution poster which became an iconic image for people protesting strife throughout the world. Mixing this image with the visage of a Claptrap and then adding binary to the bottom is pure genius. The same goes for the Fidel Castro offshoot of this poster that also receives the Claptrap spoof treatment.

Hit the jump to see all the different screens that we received. The new level patch and Claptrap New Robot Revolution are set to arrive on all platforms in October from Gearbox Software and 2K Games.

I will admit that I have not really spent a lot of time with Shaun White Snowboarding. There was something that just did not grab me enough to really pick the game up. But, when I saw Shaun White’s Skateboarding at E3 this year, I was intrigued. There was something about the new title that had a look and feel of classic Tony Hawk titles. You know, the ones that were actually good before the series self destructed on itself.

The Wii version of Shaun White Skateboarding will be a little different from the 360 and PS3 versions of the game, using cartoon styled artwork and a different story, but the game mechanics seem to work in a similar fashion. Also, there will be multiplayer, races and other activities for gamers to occupy their time in the game.

Check the jump for a full trailer showing off the Wii version of Shaun White Skateboarding, including all of its different modes of gameplay. Shaun White Skateboarding hits shelves on October 26th, 2010 on PS3, Xbox 360, PC and Wii from Ubisoft.

Harmonix has kicked it up into full promotion mode for Rock Band 3, as we now have another video from the studio, this time showing off more of the new keyboard stuff, as well as some more info on the pro modes for both keyboard and guitar modes. The new video also has some commentary from some of the development team on the new modes, which adds a little insight to their feelings on the new modes of gameplay.

Hit the jump for the new Rock Band 3 pro mode trailer which also features some of the newly released track list like Tears for Fears and more. Rock Band 3 hits shelves in late October 2010 for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii and DS from Harmonix and MTV Games.

So it’s a two-player side-scrolling beat ‘em up in the style of classic two-player side-scrolling beat ‘em ups. To make it special, WayForward has done a heckuva job leveraging the IP. Which, if you haven’t noticed, is the current animated Batman series that takes its cues from DC Comics’s 1960s Silver Age.

My son and I are blasting through the first “episode.” It has Batman and Robin rampaging through an improbably designed museum and cityscape, chasing an unknown cat-based villain. Robin says it’s Catwoman. Batman says it’s Catman. Robin says Batman is just saying that because he has a thing for her. These guys argue like this throughout the entire level.

Rather than just being arcade combat, it’s arcade combat with ongoing, entertaining voiceover. It’s because the game is trying to present itself like the cartoon, which is pretty cool. Even ran the show’s open (just in a highly compressed video codec, bleah.) When you perform a special attack, giant fullscreen animations of the characters play out. Guest-star heroes fly in for special screen-cleaning attacks.

I’ve read online that the game supports the Classic Controller, but the manual does not mention it and I don’t own one anyway because they’re stupid. What I do own is a houseful of GameCube Wavebirds and I can tell you that the game doesn’t support that.

So far, I’m loving the voice work and the hand-drawn character animation. There’s more then enough combat moves and apparently you can buy and upgrade new gadgets for Batman. I imagine if you were blown over by the recent Scott Pilgrim game, this would not make a bad runner-up. Of course, a cartoon Batman game for kids isn’t going to score you any nerd cred.

This comic book has a nice black and white cover, with a short story inside, along with more concept art at the end of the issue.

So, as much as I would love to keep one of these (Fourhman probably wants one too), I would much rather reward our community. So if you want to receive one of these comic book issues, be one of the first five people to respond to the comic thread on our Facebook page later today. Keep an eye out for it so you can win.

Good luck to everyone, and thank you for being fans of Aeropause Games.
